Job Description

Metra is seeking experienced and qualified Signalmen or Maintainers to oversee the construction, repair, installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of railroad signal systems. This Union position ensures adherence to safety rules and promotes a secure work environment. Applicants should have completed an Assistant Signal training course and possess at least one year of experience in the role.

Ideal candidates must be able to distinguish between colors (red, blue, green, yellow), work various shifts, including holidays and weekends, and travel within Metra’s six-county region.
