Job Description
The Grayslake Area Public Library seeks a positive, customer-focused Public Services Library Assistant. Part-time (avg. 17.25 hrs/week) starting at $16.00/hr; schedule includes Mon/Wed 5:00–9:15pm, Fri 9:00am–2:30pm and a rotating weekend (one Saturday every four weeks, 9:00am–5:15pm; one Sunday every four weeks, 12:15–5:15pm between Labor Day and Memorial Day). Duties: assist patrons with accounts, registration, materials, and library resources. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred), strong technology skills (Google Suite, multi-tab navigation), and public service experience preferred.
