Job Description

Gulf Stream Marine seeks a Longshoreman II to perform advanced cargo handling in vessel holds and terminals. The role requires proven experience with hold operations, PITs, small forklifts/yard mules, chain and chop saws, cargo lashing and carpentry, and inspection of lifting gear. Responsibilities include hooking/unhooking cargo, stowing and securing loads, maintaining clean work areas, troubleshooting equipment issues, and mentoring junior crew. Candidates must have specialized PIT and cargo securing training, be safety-conscious, able to work with minimal supervision, and physically fit for outdoor, noisy, high-risk environments (heights, enclosed spaces), using PPE. Report damaged or unsafe cargo to supervisors immediately.
